Find The Best Demolition Company

How do you go about locating the best demolition company? Well that’s easy when you have the professional team of this Los Angeles Demolition COMpany guarding and protecting your back. Demolition is a very touchy subject but once you locate this best Demolition Company then all will be right in the world and your demolition job can be the best ever for your new project to get started!

Verifying a demolition contractor’s insurance is a critical part of pre-screening your demolition contractor. Luckily, making sure your demolition contractor has the correct insurance is simple and easy.

Ask your demolition contractor for the name of his insurance company. Also ask for the name of your demolition contractor’s insurance agent and that insurance agent’s contact information. Call your demolition contractor’s insurance agent and ask for proof of insurance. This certificate should only be obtained from an insurance agent, not from the demolition contractor. Unscrupulous demolition contractors often fake insurance certificates.

When you call your demolition contractor’s insurance agent also be sure to ask if certain types of demolition work is forbidden by the demolition contractor’s insurance policy.

Kitchen Demolition Rescue

I just graduated from Le Cordon Bleu and know i have the skills to change the way you look at fine dinning in America. I will be the next Mario Batali or Wolfgang Puck that will make an impact in the world of foodology. First though, i had to start at home and have the right workplace for me to accomplish my unquestionable amazing dishes. With not much very space in my kitchen i decided to go the DIY route and demolish my kitchen to have it furnished with high end appliances and the largest food island you have seen this side of the Valley.

This was much more work than expected and to be honest, i thought i would be able to do it all on my own. I started to prep the kitchen demolition and grabbed my trusty sledgehammer. Upon first strike i was hoping to demolish a lone standing column. As i did, not only did it get electrocuted because of exposed and not grounded wires, but i also almost knocked down a load baring column that made my ceiling slump and make a scary noise. Unfazed and confident in myself, i started to tear down a wall to open up the space. After a few swings, my sledgehammer kept making a clanking noise. Once the water was squirting me in the face i realized i had just knocked down a water pipe as well.

This was a calamity of sorts and i couldn’t go on any further. I called up the best Los Angeles Demolition Company and let them handle the rest for me.

Before You Dig

We here at Deconstruction Pro care about our customers and associates which is why we are very rigid on one thing and one thing only. Safety! When it comes to keeping every inch of your body intact and that heart pumping we want you to know that we are on your side. Taking out that shovel and pick axe and starting to dig to start your next project is not the smartest thing to do until you know exactly where you can and can’t dig. This might sound like a minor problem but there are many hazards to digging without knowing what is underground.

You might accidentally hit a gas mainline that can cause serious harm up to and including an explosion. The main issues when digging are the fact that there can be many surprises underneath that you might not be aware of. As a homeowner, it would be a great idea to go to your local city number to find out where you can dig. Something as simple as digging and planting a tree or shrub must also be handled by calling your local number, it is always best to be safe than sorry when it comes to this type of situation.

Deconstruction Pro always makes sure that we are aware of what lies below the earth. We want to save you money and costly repairs that could have been avoided beforehand. You can be at ease when you hire Deconstruction Pro to take care of your demolition job!

Garage demolition is fairly straightforward. You will need a demolition permit, a large dumpster or waste bin, tools (pry bar, heavy hammer, circular saw) and safety equipment. You may also want to recruit help to assist you in a garage demolition.

1. Obtain the necessary demolition permits

Talk to your local building department and obtain the necessary permits. What type of permit will you need? Depends entirely on your city and the rules that govern garage demolition in your city and state.

2. Rent a Dumpster

Depending on the size of the garage you may need to rent a fairly larger dumpster. For most garages you need a dumpster in the 20 to 40 yard range.

3. Turn off Utilities

Make sure you turn off all utilities going to your garage, this includes electricity, water and gas. Remove the wires and switches leading from your house’s breaker box to the garage. Double check that the water (if applicable) has been turned off by opening up faucets. Double check that the power has been turned off by checking voltages on outlets and switches.

4. Remove Anything That Can Be Reused or Resold

Window treatments, window sills, and even windows themselves. Also plumbing and doors, outlets and switches, and lighting fixtures. Anything you want to save or resell. Make sure you put these things aside to one so they don’t get mixed in with the rubble. Also make sure you disassemble the garage door, garage door mechanism, and garage door opener.

5. Remove the Garage’s Roofing

Carefully, and using an assistant to steady your ladder, carefully remove the roofing materials from the roof. Start at the pinnacle and move downward, reducing the garage to its shell.

6. Remove the Wall Framing

Cut out the remaining shell using a circular saw and let it all fall into a pile.

7. Remove Construction Debris

Throw the construction debris you have on the ground into the dumpster. Once its full call the dumpster / roll off company and have the dumpster hauled away.

Deconstruction is a type of demolition that has gained more and more traction across the country. More and more demolition contractors are opting to use deconstruction methods instead of full on demolition. But what exact is deconstruction?

Deconstruction is a demolition service where parts of a building (or all of a building) is un-constructed or deconstructed. A demolition contractor looks at a building and says, OK, how can we slowly and methodically un-construct this building? Then asks, how many of the building materials can be reused? Then a demolition contractor begins a slow process of recovering materials from a home.

An experience demolition contractor removes fixtures from a home. A demolition contractor may also remove tile and flooring to be reused elsewhere. Beams and lumber can be recovered as well. So can copper piping and even wiring. Anything that isn’t damaged (and even a few things that are) can be recovered from a building or home under deconstruction.

Deconstruction is a slower process than traditional demolition. But demolition contractors often realize substantial savings from deconstruction because they can oftentimes reuse or resell items in other projects. Deconstruction is also more environmentally friendly than traditional demolition techniques that dump huge amounts of construction debris in landfills. Some cities (the city of Los Angeles for instance) are even offering expedited permitting for those who choose deconstruction over demolition.

Is deconstruction for you? It’s hard to say. You should consult with your demolition contractor. Not every building or house demolition is a candidate for deconstruction. Your demolition contractor can advise you further about the advantages and disadvantages of deconstruction.

1. Maintenance

Pool maintenance isn’t terribly expensive but it isn’t terribly cheap either. One can easily spend a thousand or more a year maintaining a pool. That is a slow drip of money — $10 here, $20 there, $100 over there — that can be quite frequently put to better use elsewhere.

Swimming pool demolition represents an immediate outlay of cash, but quite often saves money for a homeowner in the long run.

2. Safety

Families with young children often don’t feel safe around a pool. This is a refrain we’ve heard from multiple customers in the last couple of years. There are obviously several ways to mitigate the risk of pools pose to young children, but the ultimate solution is to completely remove a pool. For people who want to feel safe and want their children to feel safe the money spent on a swimming pool demolition is well worth it.

3. Use (or lack of)

People just don’t use their pools. So why spend time and money maintaining something they don’t use. Deconstruction’s estimators frequently encounter customers who’ve retired, no longer have kids, and who have simply aged out of having a pool.

4. The Desire to Have a Backyard

A lot of customers tell us that the main reason they want to get rid of their pool is because they have a strong desire to have a backyard, and a garden, and a place to cook out and watch their children run around in.

If you are considering swimming pool demolition Deconstruction Demolition & Disposal Inc. can help. Give us a call today at 888-666-8808

How straightforward? We’ve condensed swimming pool demolition into five easy steps just to show you how easy it is.

1. Drain the swimming pool

Before demolishing a swimming pool you’ll need to drain it. You can either open the drains and let time and gravity do their job, or pump out the water. Once a pool has been complete drained, you will need to drill an array of holes in the bottom of the pool. Holes will allow the pool to drain properly and constantly once its been filled in.

2. Demolish the Top Two Feet of Concrete

Demolish the top two layers of concrete around the pool and take the pool down to ground level. This is done usually with a Bobcat with a pneumatic drill attached to it. A bobcat can quickly demo a pool and the associated concrete.

3. Fill in the Pool

Once the top to three layers of concrete have been demolished use the demolish concrete as fill and dump it into the bottom of the pool.

4. Top the Concrete Fill with Fill Dirt

Fill in the pool with extra fill dirt, and then grade and compact.

5. Landscape

After your former pool site has been compacted, call a landscaper and have sod planted.
