I had an aunt that recently died. She lived a fairly long life (90 years) and had a fairly prosperous life. When she died she left the family with her house and all her possessions. Most of her surviving relatives were pretty young so we all decided to sell what was left to us, including the house and whatever was left inside.

We spent about three months selling antiques, collectibles, and some appliances. We wanted to sell as much as we could both to return cash to the family and because we didn’t want our Aunt’s possessions just to go in the garbage. But after three months we were left with about four rooms filled with, well, less than desirable stuff. Junk essentially.

Summer was coming and the real estate agent that agreed to sell my Aunt’s property wanted to get it on the market by the Summer. So we were faced with a conundrum. How do we clean up a house and get it ready to show in about two months?

We called a junk removal service. The junk removal service we called specialized in estate clean ups and they had done this a million times before. Using a junk removal service saved everyone else a lot of time and did our estate clean up in about a day.

So if you need to clean up an estate I’d highly recommend calling a junk removal service.

Pasadena has been a major demographic for Dumpster Rental Companies for a very, very long time. I suppose it’s because of the upper middle class residential and commercial areas that clustered here since the 1950s. But nonetheless, people here have always ordered dumpsters. It actually became a benchmark for dumpster prices since the orders for bins have been high, the prices went down significantly amongst dumpster companies. The competition to get as much dumpsters inPasadena drove dumpster prices down. In the end, it was the consumer that reaped the bountiful benefits of these competing markets.

Then, the franchise concept was introduced to Pasadena. The franchise rule stated that only city sanctioned dumpster companies can deliver bins in Pasadena. These companies, to be included in the franchise must meet the City of Pasadena’s standards and pay up to $20,000 dollars membership fee. Now, this drove the options of Pasadena locals down to five or six companies. Companies that paid a lot of money just to be included in the franchise. And with profit being the driving force behind companies, those lucky few who had the extra dough will now have to increase their prices exponentially to make profit. And since there isn’t much competition left, the locals of Pasadena have no choice but to rent bins 40-100% more expensive and take it.

This is nothing more than subtle Monopolization and its all legal! But that’s not even the worst part; almost half of the cities in Los Angeles County have these franchises!

Electronics are a modern connivence that have gone from luxury to necessity in a little less than twenty years. One night I was sitting out on the front porch discussing one thing or another, and I idly blurted out, How did we do that before the internet? No one had a good answer and no one seemed to even remember.

But the computers, tablets, and smartphones that connect us to the world also have a short lifespan. Most people, for instance, upgrade their phone every 18 months. Oh look brand new shiny phone. But what happens to the old one? You have a couple options: resell, a trade-in recycling program, or (if you have a lot of electronics; like computers and old monitors) call a junk removal service in Los Angeles.

Resell… If you are a frequent upgrader reselling your electronics is a profitable way to get rid of old electronics. Popular electronics, like iPads and MacBooks, tend to hold their value over time. You can frequently make up half the price of an upgrade by reselling your electronics. I’ve owned four new MacBooks and barely paid $1,200 a piece for them, because I resold my old laptop at a decent market price.

Recycle … Most companies, including Apple and Amazon, offer a trade-in option for electronics. You mail them your used electronics and accessories, and they assess a value and pay you in the form of a gift card. There are also third party electronic trade-in companies that will pay you cash (well a check or PayPal). Trading in your electronics tends to reward you with less cash but takes away the hassle of selling electronics yourself. Also trade-in programs eliminate the very real risk of meeting a criminal on Craig’s List and having your sale items stolen.

Junk Removal Services … Obviously, you wouldn’t call a junk removal service in Los Angeles to pick up an 18 month old smartphone. But if you have a pallet of 18 month old smartphones, or more likely a big office that has a lot older computers and monitors that are no longer in use a junk removal service makes sense. Junk removal services in the Los Angeles can help you dispose of large amounts of electronics. Junk removal services also recycle most of what they pick up so you can rest assured that your old electronics won’t end up back in a landfill.

Most of the time we don’t think of junk removal companies and junk haulers as environmentalists. We often see those junk removal dump trucks roaming around your neighborhoods in Los Angeles and think, ew, just another garbage truck. But in reality junk removal services in Los Angeles are spearheading the way for garbage recyclers. Most junk removal services in Los Angeles actually recycle a majority of the items they haul away.

When a junk removal company hauls away household or commercial junk they don’t take it to the landfill immediately. A good junk removal company sorts through all the household and commercial junk they collect, organize it, and then separate it.

Most junk removal companies recover some fairly useable items. Many are things like small appliances, or old toys, or even clothes that can be donated to charity. Many junk removal companies in Los Angeles support local charities and those charities’ thrift shops by donating useable items to those same thrift shops.

In cases where something isn’t in any condition to donate to charity junk removal companies can and still do recycle. Take a box spring mattress for instance. Junk removal companies can recycle the wood and metal springs. Sometimes they can even recycle the fabric.

On average junk removal services in Los Angeles recycle between 50% to 90% of the items they haul away. Junk removal companies are blazing the path towards a greener, more recyclable and reusable future.

Junk and Demolition, the connection

You might ask yourself what does Junk Removal and Demolition have in common? Well they have lot’s in common and actually can sometimes go hand in hand. Whenever there is a demolition job going on, of course you are going to have trash and debris that is created as the job progresses. In order to have progress move along you must first have demolition and knock down what needs to be rebuilt. Concrete, stucco, wires, re-bar it all amounts to trash that has to be junked away. Junk removal crews arrive at these sites and carry away all the leftover junk to clear out and make way for new construction.

On their off time you will also find a few demolition crews that double as a junk removal crew. Who better to clean up and make junk disappear than the professionals that can create it in the first place? A great team of hard working professionals can double as both and have the skills necessary to do a great job instinctively for both options in this industry.

Always ask around and see if you can get a referral for a great Demolition Company in Los Angeles that can help you out with your upcoming project.

Junk services can go either the right way or the wrong way depending on which service company you decide to go with. Some companies do not have the proper training and tools to get the job done and sometimes even do not have the correct staffing in place to get in and remove your unwanted junk. When looking for a great Junk Removal Services Company make sure that they can provide a commitment to excellence and are willing to work with you when it comes to the price. You should also remember that just because a Junk Removal Company can give you the lowest price it doesn’t mean that they are the best at what they do. Sometimes, these second rate junk removal companies low ball their competitors prices to stay in business but provide the worst service to the consumer ever. They are in it just to make a quick buck and move on to the next job to make some more money without a care in the world.

Lucky for you, there are still junk removal companies with a heart and vision and who truly care about their customers. They will go out of their way to make you happy and keep you satisfied. These companies deserve your money and dedication because they are in it for the long haul and want to keep you satisfied and being a repeat customer.

Contract one of the best Junk Removal Companies in the business with many years of experience out in the field!

If you ever found yourself in a situation where you wake up one morning and you see a sofa or table on your driveway of front lawn that somebody just left there, then you’re pretty much screwed with it. Unfortunately, California law says that you are responsible for the junk and trash in your own property.

You could take the easy road and do the exact same thing to someone else and dump that thing in his or her property in the middle of the night. But if you’re someone with a conscience or someone with morals, then you wouldn’t. Like it or not, you have to get rid of the junk yourself.

One way to do it is to call the city and ask for a bulky item. This is probably the most affordable way to get rid of it. But there is a downside though; the city only picks up once a week. So if you missed your window then you will have to wait for a week.

Another way to do it is if you have a pick up and the muscles to do some heavy lifting, then load up the junk and take it to the dump and pay for the disposal. I’m sure this sucks but at least you got rid of it.

Now if you can lift the trash or don’t even want to touch it, there are companies out there that specialize in these bulky item pick-ups. They have guys that can do the lifting for you then they load it up in their truck and dispose of it. It not free of course, but then again so is most of everything else.

If you’ve recently completed a do-it-yourself project, like a kitchen renovation or a bathroom renovation, you probably have a lot of leftover construction materials and construction debris. So how do you get rid of tile, demo’ed flooring, and stuff like broken cabinets? You have a couple options: call a hauling service in Sherman Oaks, recycle some construction materials, or resell them.

Calling a hauling service in Sherman Oaks is the fastest way to get rid of construction debris. A hauling service will come to your home and worksite, and haul away your construction material. Hauling services tend to be expensive. If you don’t have a lot of construction debris to get rid of a hauling service is probably not the best solution. But if you have a couple of tons of construction debris a hauling service is an effective way to quickly dispose of it.

Depending on the exact type of construction debris you have you can also recycle a lot of it. Concrete can be pulverized and reused as gravel in other construction projects. Wood and pressboard can be recycled into other wood items and paper. Metal, like copper and aluminum, has great resale value on the open market.
