Requirements for A Demolition Contractor’s License in Los Angeles?

Every demolition contractor in Los Angeles and California in general is required to have a demolition contractor’s license. So what are the requirements for obtaining a demolition contractor’s license in Los Angeles? 

The California Contractors State License Board issues a license for demolition contractors. The main requirements for a demolition contractor’s license in Los Angeles is work experience and the California contractor exams. In addition, all applicants for a demolition contractor’s license must satisfy the board that they “have the moral and financial fitness” to run a demolition contracting business.

When it comes to valid work experience to qualify for a demolition contractor’s license you need at least four years of experience in demolition to get a California license. 100% of this experience must be obtained as either a foreman, supervisor, contractor or journeyman with a demolition company. 

While you are obtaining this experience you should also start studying for the contractor’s exam.
